I used to think it would be a blast if I could do it, get a few buds on an LAN, then run around BFG'ing or rocketing around the school gym or Batman the Ride. I for one used to fantasize about modeling my high school or Six Flags California (where I used to work) for DOOM _deathmatch_. What I AM interested in is a moral question: What would the public backlash be if someone with great map editing skills created a level or a MOD of Columbine or any school in the WORLD.
If you see something similar elsewhere that claims to be Eric's original pages, they are mistaken.No, I'm not advertising a MOD made for Columbine, nor am I advocating one being made specifically about shooting down students, teachers, and faculty with weapons used during the fiasco that happened over two years ago.
To avoid confusion, I've rearranged the content and compacted it to fit inside the larger layout of this site. Some people mirrored it on other websites, saying it was Eric's actual web page - but it isn't. This confused some readers who thought they were looking at an actual copy of the site. Originally, I made pages to display the material I saved and formatted them similar to Eric's WBS pages, to tie the info together.
I did capture the directory structures of a couple of his sites, but the HTML (including his Quake clan info and "hit list") are gone. I was only able to save the images and zip files, though I missed a few before AOL deleted them. AOL erased all of the HTML files in the directories of his websites after the FBI downloaded them for investigation, before anyone could make copies (Internet Archive did not exist back then). The inset page is NOT a copy of Eric Harris' original webpage.
